Toru Oikawa has a white knee pad on his right knee (actually a knee supporter), but is rarely seen genuinely grinning. In Haikyuu’s first popularity poll, he ranked 5th, with 5050 votes. In real life, he coaches his nephew at Lil Tykes Volleyball Classroom. Despite his “ordinary” appearance, he is incredibly intelligent and cunning.
One of the most popular characters in the anime is Toru Oikawa. He teases Iwaizumi, who he’s known since childhood. Both characters are romantically attracted to each other, and Iwaizumi will do anything to protect his friend. Toru Oikawa and Iwaizumi have a close relationship. This is illustrated in fanworks of the anime.
Oikawa has brown eyes and dark brown hair that is swept outwards. Oikawa is very attractive, and several girls are seen following him around. It often smiles, though rarely sincere. When he does smile, he makes victory gestures and large waving gestures. He sticks out his tongue during these actions. The manga also shows the teen’s love life.
Oikawa’s intelligence allows him to read other players’ emotions quickly. He has excellent perceptive skills and is able to predict where the ball will end up in a given situation. He also plays well with strangers, whereas Kageyama struggles with this. In addition to his natural ability to read other players, Oikawa is extremely quick to pick up on their moves. So he makes the path of his opponents much easier.
His character in Haikyuu!!
His role in Haikyuu!! is very different from what most people expect. The character is clumsy and has a limited vocabulary, so his characterization is much more complex than the audience initially expects. He is the narrator and protagonist of the manga series and anime, as well as the voice actor for his character. Kaito Ishikawa voiced him in the manga and anime series after the success of Haikyuu!!
There are a lot of different characters in Haikyuu!!, each with a unique personality. One of the main characters, Shoyo Hinata, is a student at Karasuno High School. He is energetic, friendly, and motivated. Another character is the coach of the team, Daichi Sawamura. The coach is a positive character who cares about his players. His goal is to help the team reach the nationals and improve the school’s reputation.
His relationship with Hajime Iwaizumi
Oikawa and Iwaizumi have been friends since they were very young. They spent their time together at school, on practice, and even after school. They also stayed in close contact after school, which was a good thing because “main” identity development happens in adolescence. Many friendships break up at this time because children learn to be different and find new friends who share their interests.
Oikawa feels uncomfortable around Kageyama. He is always working hard, and he is not a genius. He got to where he is by practising, and so it’s difficult for him to be around a genius. His tendency to work too hard makes Iwaizumi worry about his well-being. He worries that his ‘fifteen kisses a week’ curse will afflict his relationship with Hajime.
